Robots and Androids oh my!

obsolete_theorySo of course I have an interesting, niggling new story thought when I want to be working on not-new stories...
Here's my robot/android thoughts:
The original thought was girlbot!Gojyo, which turned into this:
Hmm...what if it is the fashion of the society to have two (robotic) bodies because the Ruler of Everything (Kanzeon) was special enough to be born hermaphroditic? And Gojyo, being closely acquainted with the nephew of the ruler of everything, has more reason than most to be toeing the party line, especially since he's...some kind of extraterrestrial halfbreed that nobody likes? So he swaps into his girl body to go have fun?
which spawned these rough character ideas:
Gojyo: undesirable alien halfbreed: switches to a female body to avoid shame/criticism
Hakkai and Kanan: natural-conceived and born twins. They have two robot bodies between them, an identical copy of both of them. They are always together. He goes in hers and she goes in his, but they act so like each other it's impossible to tell who is impersonating who. To outsiders it's super creepy. But their inner circle can tell how crazy-in-love/in-tune they are with each other. The male body is named H and the girl body named K. This only helps confuse the issue of the spirits in the machines.
Sanzo: nephew of the high mucky muck Hirself. The only one out of any of them that knows who one of his biological parents is. Puts on his girl body only under great duress. No one is sure if he started out as a girl or a boy.
Goku: completely loyal to Sanzo. Remains in the childlike body because he's scared Sanzo would make him leave if he ever grew up. He's been waiting a long time for Sanzo…
Koumyou: is also (supposedly) Ukoku. After a couple hundred years as Koumyou, he retired the body and switched to being Ukoku. Sanzo isn't convinced that his old master is actually Ukoku at all, but no one else seems to share his concern.
Kanzeon: Born hermaphroditic. Rules…half a galaxy or something. Hir people follow the fashion of having two or more robotic bodies. Swapping sexes/genders is looked upon favorably because it's "in Hir image." Kanzeon herself is rumored to have several identical robotic bodies to avoid wear-and-tear on her biological. Hir extras are often dressed/styled to downplay/play up either Hir male or female self.
So. These are my robot thoughts. I'm thinking there might be a story in there, somewhere....a story that would be entitled "Fabulous Creatures."
I'm going to go rest my brains and see if I can't write something that isn't robots.
